Your True Self
by William Johnston
THE AUTHOR OF THE CLOUD* tells his disciple to sit and be aware that you are and forget what you are. Just be. Just become aware that you are and that God is.
Remember that God is your being -- and this is a remarkable insight -- and in Him you are your true self. And then the time will come when you must forget yourself to be aware only of the being of God. In this total self-forgetfulness you are aware of the complete unity of all being.
Away with reasoning and thinking! Do not think about what you are and what God is, but only that you are and that God is.
